FROM KHAMANI, WITH LOVE

Why I’m Building this

The box I wish I’d had growing up.

Hi, I’m Khamani, the founder of KJ’s Craft Time. I started the business at 14 to give children more hands-on, screen-free time to create, learn and have fun.

I also live with Dystonia, a physical disability that affects my grip and hand control. Growing up, I was often the one sitting out of craft activities, because the tools weren’t made for me. The problem was never the child. It was the design.

That’s what makes this box different. Every child gets the same crafts, the same booklet and the same price, with a Standard or Adaptive Tools Kit so everyone can join in.

I’m sharing every step of the build, from the first samples to the test-makes, so come and follow along.
